Board finance papers
Presenting the right set of documents to directors at board meetings is an important step for the right decisions to be made on behalf of a corporation.
In this 1-hour workshop, an accounting lecturer will go over what directors, treasurers, CFOs, accountants and others preparing management accounts should consider when looking at board finance papers.
You'll learn about
This workshop will cover topics including:
- what should be included in a set of board finance papers
- a typical set of management accounts prepared using MYOB or Xero
- how variances are reported, calculated and explained
- other typical documents/reports that should be presented to directors at board meetings
- typical questions that directors should be asking when reviewing the profit and loss statement and balance sheet
- common key financial ratios and a how a financial dashboard can summarise the key financial information for the board

- Directors and treasurers of Indigenous corporations
- Management account preparers, such as CFOs and accountants of Indigenous corporations
