This document describes the provisions of the CATSI Act that require an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporation to, at all times, be owned and controlled by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The 'Indigeneity requirement' under the CATSI Act is that the majority of members must be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander persons.

The CATSI Act also requires the majority of directors to be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people
