Job description/overview
Lhere Artepe Aboriginal Corporation is seeking an experienced and highly organized Executive Office Manager (EOM) to provide strategic leadership and manage the day-to-day operations of the organization. This critical role will ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the Corporation’s operations, in alignment with its strategic goals and compliance with all governance and reporting requirements.
As the EOM, you will report directly to the Board, playing a central role in supporting the advancement and self-determination of the Lhere Artepe Native Title Traditional Owners and communities. You will manage key operations, financial systems, and program delivery, all while driving best practice governance and ensuring sustainability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Corporation’s operations, ensuring the effective implementation of strategy and policies, and ensuring alignment with the Board’s direction.
- Ensure the highest standards of governance, legal compliance, and financial management.
- Provide strategic leadership to all teams within the organization, ensuring clarity, support, and direction.
- Manage corporate services, including finance, administration, payroll, and operational efficiency.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Board, staff, and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and operational effectiveness.
- Lead the management team in delivering on strategic priorities, monitoring progress, and ensuring organizational goals are met.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to funding bodies, regulatory agencies (e.g., ORIC, ATO), and other stakeholders.
- Support the management of the Corporation’s Native Title, business, and social enterprises.
- Foster a supportive and safe work environment, promoting staff wellbeing and resolving conflicts diplomatically.
- Provide oversight of financial management, ensuring systems and processes meet legal requirements and the organization’s budgetary constraints.

- Land Management Ranger program
- Social Justice Program (Justice Reinvestment)
- Traditional Owners Foot Patrol program
- Mparntwe Assertive Outreach program
- Peacemaking and Mediation program
- Social and Economic development
- Visitor Management
- Cultural activities
- Corporate Services, including finance, administration & payroll
Qualifications & Experience:
- Extensive experience in office management or an executive support role, preferably within the Indigenous sector or with Aboriginal organizations.
- Strong understanding of governance, business management, and strategic planning.
- Proven ability to support a leadership team, manage competing priorities, and ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with the CATSI Act and ORIC processes is highly desirable.
- Tertiary qualifications in business management, administration, or a related field.
