The Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC) and the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) are pleased to announce they have renewed their memorandum of understanding (MOU).
Both regulators are committed to acting collaboratively to minimise the regulatory burden for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporations in complying with reporting and other notification obligations.

The Registrar of Indigenous Corporations, Anthony Beven, today released his ninth annual report on the 500 top earning corporations registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (CATSI Act).
The top 500 report analyses data from general reports submitted by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporations as part of their annual reporting requirements under the CATSI Act. This report focuses on data provided as part of 2015–16 reports.

Statistics released today on external administration appointments to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporations indicate the strength of the sector, Minister for Indigenous Affairs, Nigel Scullion, said.
