Yesterday the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations, Mr Anthony Beven, terminated the special administration of KASH Aboriginal Corporation (KASH) after just two weeks.
Mr Glen Walker was appointed as special administrator of KASH on Monday, 12 March 2012. He had begun to make important changes at the corporation but was unable to secure guaranteed funding for the corporation from its funding bodies. Without that funding the special administrator could not complete the planned reforms of the corporation and its services.
The Registrar said, ‘I would like to thank Mr Walker for the work he was able to complete in a short period of time.’
The Registrar has paid the fees for the special administrator’s services.
The former directors have been reappointed as the directors of the corporation.
