Job description/overview: 

Biripi ACMC has a rewarding opportunity for an experienced psychologist to join our clinical team based in Taree. This is a permanent part time position (up to 32 hours per week) with the potential to job share and relocation assistance for the right candidates. Reporting to the Health services manager, the Psychologist is responsible for providing the local Aboriginal Community with a holistic, primary health care and psychological services for Biripi’s patients to improve their health and wellbeing.

Key objectives are to:

  • manage the provision of specialist counselling and physiological health service to the Aboriginal community
  • provide appropriate assessment and treatment programs to improve psychiatric health to Biripi clients
  • assist the program in health promotion and education activities to ensure the effective promotion of mental health issues in the Aboriginal community
