Injalak Arts is an Aboriginal-owned social enterprise regulated by the Office of the Registrar of indigenous Corporations, and governed by the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006. Injalak Arts is a remote community art centre located in Gunbalanya, approximately 300 km east of Darwin, just inside Arnhem Land.

Injalak’s artists create paintings on paper and bark, carvings, weavings, textile design and screen-printing, multimedia projects and much more. The art centre offers important opportunities for the people of Gunbalanya not only in terms of employment and other economic development, but social, cultural, health and wellbeing.

Job description/overview: 

This newly created operations coordinator position is part of a small, dynamic team that ensures the smooth operations of Injalak Arts. This position coordinates day-today operations of the art centre in Gunbalanya, NT and supports the CEO in the implementation of best practice across the organisation including the gallery shop, buying desk, administration, production, tours and online retail.
