Oonah Health and Community Services Aboriginal Corporation was established in 2009. It's purpose is to establish and operate a base from which an integrated program of health, wellbeing, education and employment services for the Aboriginal community is delivered within a cultural framework of respect, caring and sharing.
The Healesville region of the Yarra Ranges is a stronghold of Aboriginal history and culture, which pervades its beautiful hills, lush valleys and bushland.

Job description/overview:
The objective of the Community engagement officer are to:
- engage with the community in order to understand the barriers to accessing NDIS and encourage better utilisation and more widespread use.
- engage with established and new networks of services providers and other Aboriginal organisations
- develop and deliver cultural awareness programs to service providers, mainstream disability providers and NDIA
