The APONT Aboriginal Governance & Management Program was developed to build strength and resilience in NT Aboriginal organisations. Embedded within APONT, an alliance of the NT’s peak Aboriginal bodies (land councils, legal service and medical services alliance), the program is Aboriginal-controlled and directed. We have a strengths-based, collaborative approach, which means building on organisations’ existing strengths, working together with other agencies for collective impact, and recording research and learnings gained while supporting NT Aboriginal organisations to improve the sector overall.
