The corporation was placed under special administration on 29 March 2017 by the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations. The administration will end on 23 August 2017. During the special administration the corporation's rule book will be changed and the corporation will have two independent directors.
The corporation is looking for an experienced director to support the member directors, particularly in the areas of finance, management and business planning. The directors' meetings will be held in Tennant Creek.

Cultural experience:
The prospective director needs to have previous cultural experience/knowledge. The corporation will assign a person to help with communication protocols and tips.
Directorship experience:
Previous directorship experience is required.
Clearances:
A police clearance certificate or similar clearance will be required. Must not have any previous or pending criminal convictions. (Excluding traffic violations.)
Rights:
The corporation's rule book has the same rights for independent directors as member directors.
Meetings and engagement:
Directors meet in Tennant Creek every second month, during the day, for 2 hours.
Directors may also be required for engagements between meetings, for mentoring or involvement in projects.
