support, advocacy and community education to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims of family violence and/or sexual assault.

Part of your role will be attending outreach and visiting the beautiful surroundings of Cairns whilst making a difference to the lives of our clients.

Job description/overview: 

We are looking for an experienced Supervising Solicitor to lead our team that work throughout the Far North Queensland Region. The team comprises Solicitors, Community Support Officers and Administration Officers based in the tropical city of Cairns. If you are experienced or ready for that next challenge in your career then read on. The person we are looking for will have demonstrated experience in the area of family law, family and domestic violence, child protection and victims assist matters. You will be personable, driven and respectful leader that wants to make a difference. A cultural appreciation/understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is essential or having worked previously with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients would be advantageous.
