The corporation is situated in Broome and provides early childhood services and related support mainly to Aboriginal children and their families in and around Broome and in the Kimberley, Western Australia. In particular it:
(a) manages and grows the Jalygurr-Guwan Multifunctional Aboriginal Children’s Service located at Dora Street Broome
(b) provides employment for Aboriginal people within the existing service and other services as deemed appropriate
(c) provides and maintains suitable grounds, buildings and equipment for such purpose
(d) has special regard for the culture and language needs for the children and families of the community
(e) promotes the welfare and care of Aboriginal children and families.

Job description/overview:
Jakygurr Guwan Aboriginal Corporation (JGAC) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified person to fill the vacant service manager position. This person will be responsible to the JGAC board and oversees the daily management and operations of JGAC’s children’s services to local families with emphasis on early childhood learning and development.
