The Aboriginal Family Law Services (AFLS) is a Commonwealth funded legal and counselling service for victims of family violence and/or sexual assault who are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples, or whose partner or children are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples. It has offices across regional Western Australia. It is looking to fulfil a position of solicitor (either restricted or unrestricted).

Job description/overview:
We are seeking a solicitor who will provide legal advice, assistance and court representation to Aboriginal victim survivors of family violence and sexual assault, including children. Ideally the applicant will have relevant experience and understanding of Aboriginal family violence related issues. The AFLS will consider restricted practice solicitors for this role. This is a unique opportunity to experience regional Western Australia and gain valuable legal practice training.
