Established in 2001, IBN Corporation Pty Ltd is trustee under the Mining Area C (MAC) Agreement between BHP Billiton Pty Ltd and the IBN Claim Group. IBN is responsible for delivering programs and services that improve the health, education and wellbeing of our beneficiaries—the Yinhawangka, Banyjima and Nyiyaparli Aboriginal language groups. Our head office is located in the town of Port Hedland, Western Australia. We employ over 40 full-time staff, almost 40 per cent are Aboriginal, and operate offices in Karratha and Tom Price.

Job description/overview: 

The Human resources team leader (HRTL) is responsible for the development and implementation of processes and programs that support organisational goals of IBN. The HRTL plays a vital role in ensuring that the rights and entitlements of employees are considered in all decision making and provides consultation and direction to management and staff on all human resource matters. This role is also responsible for the development and implementation of policies that support the human resource function. 

This role is based in our head office in Port Hedland and reports to the corporate services manager.
