The Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled health service which provides regional and remote health services in the Pilbara region of WA. PAMS operates four clinics in the Jigalong, Cotton Creek, Punmu and Kunawarritji communities. Its administration office is based in Newman. PAMS operates on funding from the Commonwealth Government and the WA Department of Health.

A contract of employment will be negotiated for an initial three year period.

Salary and conditions: 

Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant in the range of $150,000 to $160,000 per annum.

The successful applicant will also receive other benefits which include accommodation, superannuation and fully-serviced motor vehicle for business and reasonable private use.

Job description/overview: 

The health services manager is a member of the Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS) senior management team.

The service objective is to provide holistic, primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of the West Pilbara region. The position leads and coordinates the delivery of client services in Newman and in remote clinics at Punmu, Jigalong, Cotton Creek and Kunawarratji.

Key responsibilities

Responsible to the CEO for the organisation and management of all clinical services within the organisation including maintenance of accreditation standards within health programs and clinics, equipment maintenance and staff development.
