Established in 2001, IBN Corporation Pty Ltd is trustee under the Mining Area C (MAC) Agreement between BHP Billiton Pty Ltd and the IBN Claim Group. IBN is responsible for delivering programs and services that improve the health, education and wellbeing of our beneficiaries—the Yinhawangka, Banyjima and Nyiyaparli Aboriginal language groups. Our head office is located in the town of Port Hedland, Western Australia. We employ over 40 full-time staff, almost 40 per cent are Aboriginal, and operate offices in Karratha and Tom Price.

Job description/overview: 

This position plays an integral role in supporting the IBN community through case management and advocacy and linking with other service providers. We are looking for a committed, flexible and critical thinker with a demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal people, culture and society.

This role provides a link between IBN beneficiaries and our programs in areas such as education, health and employment. A background in Human/Social Services case management and particularly youth work is desirable.

Experience in a related field with a demonstrated understanding of social welfare programs is essential. Certificate level qualification in Human Services/ Social welfare or progress towards same is required along with class C driver’s licence.
