Job description/overview: 

The Yuendumu Women's Centre Aboriginal Corporation is seeking to employ a proven leader as the coordinator for the day-to-day management and delivery of its programs.

Sitting on the edge of the Tanami Desert the remote community of Yuendumu is one of the largest Aboriginal communities in central Australia and includes numerous outstations.

The coordinator for the women’s centre is responsible for its day-to-day management and is critical to the on-going delivery of core social programs in the community and for the proper governance of the corporation and the centre’s financial resources.

You must have demonstrated capacity for resourcefulness, self-motivation, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, including an ability to manage external relationships effectively, as this will be pivotal to your success. The ability to facilitate and take direction from an Indigenous board and to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal people are also essential.
