Job description/overview: 

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Company Secretary to provide compliance and secretarial support to the boards and management of the NAC entities.

Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for undertaking all compliance related matters as required under each entity’s constitution, the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander) Act 2006 and the Corporations Act 2001. In addition, you will facilitate the convening of all director and member meetings, including preparation of board packs, taking of minutes and following up action items.

This role requires a person with excellent organisational and communication skills and an emphasis on attention to detail.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • a minimum of three years relevant experience
  • demonstrated experience in company secretarial role
  • demonstrated working knowledge of the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 and the Corporations Act 2001
  • demonstrated experience in reporting at board level
  • outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills
  • working knowledge of Aboriginal community aspirations
  • a strong work ethic and the ability to work as part of a team.
