The North Australian Aboriginal Family Violence Legal Service (NAAFVLS) is an Aboriginal owned and run organisation established in 2006 under the CATSI Act 2006. The corporation has offices in Darwin and Katherine and is funded by the Australian Government to deliver the family violence prevention legal service program to Top End remote communities.

NAAFVLS is now in the process of strengthening corporate governance by increasing the number of directors on the board.
PROFESSIONAL DIRECTORS—non members
NAAFVLS is seeking expressions of interest from experienced and committed people to appoint as independent professional directors. Ideal candidates will have skills in:
- corporation governance
- financial management
- delivery of family violence services.
NAAFVLS is seeking expressions of interest from eligible members to be considered for appointment to the board of directors, as per the corporation's rule book which can be viewed at www.oric.gov.au.
All reasonable travel expenses incurred to attend directors' meetings will be paid by the corporation. NAAFVLS does not pay sitting fees.
