In 1994 a small group of local Aboriginal people formed with the vison of providing a meeting place for the Aboriginal Community and promoting visibility for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People who live in the Blue Mountains. From that movement the Blue Mountains Aboriginal Culture and Resource Centre (ACRC) was created. In 1996 ACRC was incorporated and has been an important part in the lives of many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who call the Blue Mountains home.

Type of vacancy:
The position will be on a casual basis of 18 hours a week, with a view to extending this to a full-time role if funding allows.
ACRC is looking to employ an energetic person with a vibrant personality to fulfil an admin/bookkeeper role. The successful applicant will ensure that the day-to-day running of the financials and general office organisation is of a high standard.
The position is Aboriginal identified, however, all applicants are encouraged to apply. The position will be diverse, with duties including:
- Fortnightly pays
- BAS preparations
- Bank reconciliations
- Monthly forecast and reporting
- P&L statements
- Annual budgets
- Accounts payable/ receivable
- Petty cash
- General admin duties – data entry, filing, photo copying/scanning etc.
- Customer service answering phones/ taking messages.
- Haccp documentation
