The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women's Alliance (Indigenous Corporation) (NATSIWA) is the peak national organisation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women throughout Australia.

NATSIWA aims to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women by:

  • empowering them to make strong, strategic and effective policy advocacy interventions into issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women
  • bringing their voices to priority issues for the Australian Government
  • addressing emerging and hidden issues faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.

Job description/overview: 

The successful applicant will assist the board with its strategic direction and implement its action plan to achieve NATSIWA's aims.

You should apply for this job if you high levels of energy, can work in a small team environment, take on responsibility, have the flexibility to travel interstate, and are committed to principles of self-determination for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.

You will need to have qualifications and/or experience relevant to the position. A working knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander womens' issues such as gender equity and violence would be an advantage.

This position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants only.
